The third single from Jackson’s 1982 album ‘Thriller’, Beat It is one of the most recognizable riffs of all time. This arrangement has something for all parts, whilst retaining that ‘chunky’ sound of the synths. Faithful to the original song, but minus Eddie Van Halen’s guitar solo near the end, the parts fall easily under the fingers and are enjoyably playable. Arranged by professional cellist and composer Dury Loveridge, this is a great addition to any string quartet’s repertoire.
